Denmark, one of the Scandinavian or Nordic countries, is a monarchy bordering Germany, the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. The major land mass is a peninsular, appropriately named Jutland, and the rest of Denmark are made up of many islands. Among the isloands are Zealand, Funen, Vendsyssel-Thy, Lolland, Falster and Bornholm. Greenland and the Farie Islands are self-ruled Provinces of Denmark. Denmark is part of the European Community.

Denmark's economy used to be highly dependent upon fishing, farming and trading, but now has industrialized with some world conquering corporations. Some of the most famous ones are LEGO and CARLSBERG. Lego has Legoland is a chain of Lego themed theme parks among which are Legoland Billund (in Billund, Denmark), Legoland Windsor (Windsor, Berkshire, England), Legoland Deutschland (Günzburg, Germany) and Legoland California (Carlsbad, California, USA). Carlsberg is known for its beer and the advertisement "the long cool Dane".
